Spring Trends

The forecasts are in and Andre has made his predictions for the upcoming spring season trends.

Blondes are all over the radar this season and it’s not just the ladies who are getting in on this hot look. Andre Richard Salon offers popular ‘guy-lights’ for the men out there who are looking to lighten up a little bit. The ‘guy-light’ gives gentlemen a natural lightened look. Blonde Ambition

On February 28 Andre Richard Salon held Blonde Ambition, a day-long blonde-a-thon where clients got 20% off lightening services. The day concluded with a Media Cocktail Party hosted in-part by Philly FABB www.phillyfabb.com.  Guest enjoyed award-winning Xochitl www.xochitlphilly.com guacamole, a specialty cocktail called the Blonde Baldini, and they also got blonded with a clip-in extension. During Blonde Ambition we had the pleasure of meeting Kim Blacklock, an actress in the new movie Power of Few, and styling her for her premiere party. Andre Richard Baldini’s passion for color, beauty and style began as a child, when he hosted Halloween parties complete with elaborate costuming and makeup. Friends and neighbors lined up at Andre’s house for the annual festivity.  Often found with crayon in hand, Andre always colored outside the lines.

Prior to completing his formal beauty school education, Andre saw his first Drag Show with Mable Red Top appearing on stage. He saw how the face became a canvas. He knew he had found his path and as a

teen, he became a student of the raw and unconventional street techniques used in creating drag – the illusion of transforming harsh male features into Madonna, Bette and Cher. His ability to soften a brow was one of his strongest skills. Contests, awards and a stellar underground reputation popped up

Upon graduating from Empire Beauty School and completing his teacher’s license, the doors of opportunity continued to open. Andre worked in local and national television including Celebrity Hair Styling, Ambush Makeover, Nice Package and Mating Season as well as a consultant for MAC Makeup.  

In March of 2007, Andre opened his namesake salon.  Despite his colorful resume, his vision was to create a drama-free environment with the best Hair Stylists and Makeup Artists in the City to help him realize this dream. He has achieved his goal. Andre Richard Salon is a warm and inviting salon with an understated elegance that’s come to be expected in its Washington West neighborhood.  Andre Richard Salon specializes in the latest advances in hair technology using the most exquisite products available.
